Welcome to PORTUGAL KIDS! Tine, Tim, Jainnie, Vi and I made our way from the airport our hostel via Portugal's Trams System. A way quieter version of Spain....
We walked it to our hostel in the heat Portuguese heat! It was a beautiful day! Spotting graffiti along the way.
We were starving and found a restaurant a few shops down the road...
Porto had amazing vibrant tiles and facades...
Walked around with Tim being the navigator...
Views from a look-out...
There were a heap of hills in PORTO, so it was a challenge to our health...
Had a beer along the Porto River... Super Bock was the name of the thirst quencher of a beer!!
This almost killed us climbing up the stairs! It look all seedy with locals looting... Tine thought she was in a middle of a drug deal! haha.
The infamous Portuguese Tarts!!! I must admit, they're better at the cafe I work at in London... Shhhhh...
We had gone grocery shopping down the road and bought snacks, meat, bread and Port!! We had our indoor picnic inside the hostel...
An exhausting day, blessed with great weather and good company!
We were going to sleep easily tonight!!

17-05-2010: BRITISH LIBRARY TO COVENT GARDEN DINNER
The sun was out in London, so I wanted to take advantage of it. I decided to head to The British Library to check out the exhibition on Magnificent Maps: Power, Propaganda and Art. I walked it to Kings Cross where I had met up with Liberty (Pao's Sister) and walked to Euston's British Library.
Amazing maps throughout the ages!!! The interiors of the library was beautiful!!! Try studying here everyday!!!... No photography was allowed inside which was a pity!
I then walked to Covent Garden to meet up with Liz, Wil and Maria for dinner at an Italian Restaurant... yummy pizza and pasta!!!
It was good spending time with the 3, unfortunately our time together would be cut short and it was a pity that I got to know them more towards the end of my stay in London! *Tear*
I will miss you guys!!!

16-05-2010: GREENWICH WITH MARY & DWAYNE
Spent the day with Mary and Dwayne heading to Greenwich! The weather was a mix of overcast, bit of rain and sunshine! That's London for you!!! lol. We started of at Island Gardens where we entered the Foot Tunnel.
Welcome to Greenwich!!! With the view of Canary Wharf from a distance...
Entering the Greenwich Markets! There were heaps of people jammed in there either selling their goods or people buying the delicious food, art, clothing, accessories and or lifestyle goodies! There was an array of boutique stores that outlined the stalls in the middle.
We were so hungry we couldn't find a place to sit, so we sat at a doorway pigging out on our food. I had bought an African Curry Mix!!!...
The smell of food from different countries hit you once you set you foot metres away for the arch entrance... It was hard to see what they were selling considering how many people were crammed in the space.
SHAKE IT, was recommended by Mary's mate to get great milkshakes. It was average... ;}
We walked around Greenwich... Seeing Chapels, Architecture and Museums...
The sun would pop out every now and again, teasing everyone that was out.
Visited the National Maritime Museum to see the BOATS exhibition...
Headed uphill to The Greenwich Meridian Line... I was struggling! Damn I'm unfit! :(
It was heard trying to find the line considering the amount of people up there. It was a fluke too when I looked down and saw SYDNEY!!! Yay! Time fo-fo-tow!
An awesome day out guys!!! Thanks for bring me here Mary & D!!!
